It is no secret that this generation is special. In a couple years, we will be in charge of the world.
We will run different stores and co-ops, we will be in charge at the hospital, and we will be the ones taking care of the older generations.
Covid really has made time fly, I can’t even begin to understand that I’m going into high school.
Our youth need a way to communicate to their peers, a phone.
Technology is all around us, they keep our food cool, they light up a room, they make watching movies fun.
Technology can be addicting; it can replace one’s responsibility.
Parents often give their toddlers iPads to stop their own child from bothering them.
Today, everyone has a phone: teens, adults, elder citizens and even KIDS.
It has gotten a lot more common to find a third grader with a phone than to find someone who reads the newspaper daily.
I don’t agree with giving someone that young a phone, they’re not even in middle school yet! I have a phone, but I only got it last year when my dad got a new phone for my mom, I got her old phone. I don’t use my phone that often, it is dead most of the time.
Although I don’t use it, I am responsible with it; I don’t lose it and I’m careful online.
Social Media can be scary for everyone even for third graders, someone can cyber bully you, they can find your contacts and stalk you even outside of your social media presence.
I’ll admit that technology is addicting but you still must be careful while on different platforms. The internet is vast, children in elementary school shouldn’t have a personal phone. Be careful when you’re online.
