Spending time on social media won’t be amusing for a whole two months

BY KAHA G. – 14 YEARS OLD

It’s been summer for quite a bit now, but as you may know, children get bored quickly. Then again, my teacher always told me that only boring people get bored. So, that’s why I’m going to teach you ways on how to spend the rest of your summer, instead of you being a so-called “boring person.”  I promise it isn’t an insult, but a suggestive point of view. Your imagination is only setting you to do one thing all summer when in reality we have a variety of options. Plus, I’m pretty sure spending time on social media won’t be amusing for a whole two months.

Furthermore, you have to find hobbies that you enjoy, whether it is painting, crafts, journaling, cooking, sports, etc. You can also go outside more, because thankfully a highly disastrous pandemic calmed down, especially if you’re an introvert who just wants to spend time at home on a day-to-day basis, like me. From my point of view, it could change you for the better. For example, when I went to the park for the first time in a long time, it was peaceful, because there were not a lot of people there. Now, I love going outside for that soul feeling of happiness because I can tell you now that being cooped up at home isn’t doing anything for my mental health.

Some other suggestions are going to the beach or making a bucket list of everything you want to do during the summer, because whether we like it or not, it’s going to come to an end. No matter how bored we were, most children wish summer could have lasted longer.

All in all, the number one thing to remember from my article is that summer is meant to be spent having fun before school starts. In that case, sit back, relax, and enjoy your time!
